Who says there are no Fall colors in Arizona!
I travelled with a group of fellow photographers to the Sedona area to try and capture the beauty of Autumn in our beautiful State.
Fortunately the government, in it's infinite wisdom had decided to end their squabbling for the time being and our parks were once again open to enjoy.
During our long day of driving from our community of Surprise to Sedona and back, some 250 miles, we managed to visit the West Fork of Oak Creek Canyon, Slide Rock State Park and Red Rock Crossing, while using Sedona as our center point. With backdrops of reds and yellows, we foraged our way across streams, and trails crowded with others visitors, some from close to home, others who travelled great distances from across the U.S. and still others from Europe and Asia.

Albeit this beautiful season is very short-lived, it is not to be missed and I will look forward to making the trek again next year.
